United States Pulls Out Of Vietnam
Early in the morning on this day in history, the United States evacuated the last of it's troops from the American embassy in Saigon, thus ending the Vietnam war with the victory going to the North Vietnamese Communists.

In the aftermath of the war, the North Vietnamese would annex South Vietnam and in the process send 1-2.5 million to re-education camps with 165,000 (estimated) deaths as a result. They would go on to execute between 100,000 and 200,000 South Vietnamese and send 1 million to "New Economic Zones" with 50,000 (estimated) deaths.
